Antalya Organized Industrial Zone Management, an important study to prepare the region for the future of the company has started. Within the scope of the project launched under the name of the Future Professions Project, the future of the sectors and the workforce will be researched by academics and a scientific road map will be prepared for the region's industrialist.
The Board of Directors of Antalya Organized Industrial Zone initiated a scientific project to determine the labor force requirements of the day and the future, the effects of medium-long-term change trends in digital transformation and communication technologies on the labor force requirements and professional competence areas of the industry and prepare the regional industrialist for the future. Under the name of Future Professions Project, within the scope of the research carried out in cooperation with Antalya OIZ and Akdeniz University, the main factors affecting the future of jobs or professions will be identified and reported. As a result of the research planned to last 5 months, a road map will be created to enable the industrialists of the region to make the right investment at the right time in the right area.
A protocol was signed before the research to be conducted by Akdeniz University Department of Economics. THE FUTURE OF THE SECTORS WILL BE DETERMINED
Providing information about the purpose of the project, Antalya OSB President Ali Bahar said, acak The project will consist of three stages and will be reported and shared with our industrialists. At the end of this process, we aim to identify the changes that technological change will bring in business processes and employment, the steps to be taken in this regard, and most importantly, the future of the sectors and shed light on our industrialists.
CONTRIBUTION TO UNIVERSITY-INDUSTRIAL COOPERATION
Noting that the research will be an important source not only for the industrialists of the Region but also for the young people and education authorities. The project is also of great importance in terms of finding the findings that will contribute to university-industry cooperation.
THE PROJECT WILL BE IN THREE STAGES
Stating that the project consists of three stages, Bahar said, ine In the first phase, the reports of the World Economic Forum, OECD, European Union, McKinsey and some cities such as New York will be examined, their studies and sample country practices will be examined. In the second stage, the expectations of changes in human resource needs will be determined in light of the development trends in the production structure and technologies with interviews and surveys conducted with human resource unit managers of the Antalya Organized Industrial Zone and enterprises with large employment capacity in the country. At the final stage, the survey findings will be discussed in workshops attended by industrialists and experts at the national level and the scenario and strategies will be determined and the researches will be prepared as a report.
