BUSINESSMEN FROM INDIA ARE IN ANTALYA OSB

The Antalya Organized Industrial Zone Directorate, which brought the purchasing delegation of Indian businessmen to the city, signed a cooperation protocol with the Maharashtra Chamber of Commerce and Industry, enabling regional industrialists and Indian businessmen to meet face to face.

Antalya Organized Industrial Zone Directorate, India Maharashtra Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Santosh Mandlecha hosted a 12-person procurement delegation consisting of room officials and businessmen. In the scope of the visit, the delegation first met with Ali Bahar, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Antalya OSB, Board Members Fatih Incir, Mustafa Yayla, Hasanali Gönen and Regional Manager İlhan Metin. At the meeting where issues related to the development of trade between the two countries were discussed, a cooperation protocol was signed between Maharashtra Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Antalya Organized Industrial Zone Directorate. Following the meeting, the members of the delegation, which had a total of 205 bilateral business meetings with the authorities of 47 Region, received information about the products they can import from Antalya OSB. Indian businessmen who visited factories at the end of the program examined the production processes of the products they are interested in.

FIRST COMMITTEE FROM INDIA

In his speech, Chairman Bahar stated that the first procurement committee program organized by the Antalya Organized Industrial Zone Directorate met the expectations without any problems and met all expectations. These programs gave our industrialists both new business partnerships and a global vision. With the awareness that we should make more efforts and work to increase the export potential of our Antalya and our regional industrialists, we have made attempts to bring purchasing committees to our region this year and we have brought our first purchasing committee together with our industrialists.

AN IMPORTANT MARKET IN INDIA

According to IMF 2016 data, India's economy is nominally the 7th largest in the world, and its third largest economy in terms of purchasing parity, President Bahar said. With this potential, it is of great importance to introduce India to our region participants and to evaluate them commercially. To host Indian businessmen in our region, to introduce our facilities and products and to bring them in contact with our industrialists can be considered as the first step in this important market. We have signed a protocol to ensure that the friendly relations we have established are not limited to this visit, to be sustainable and to create a trade bond. We believe that we have initiated a new process that will provide added value to our region.

COMMITTEE IS SATISFIED

Santosh Mandlecha, head of the Maharashtra Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said the authorities of the Regional Directorate professionally manage the entire process and believe that the contacts will have fruitful results on behalf of the two countries. Emphasizing that they are very satisfied with the interest of regional companies in bilateral business negotiations, Mandlecha said, "We are leaving Antalya with very good impressions and the happiness of establishing new friendships. As soon as possible to host a delegation coming from Antalya in our country and the foundation of the trade bridge that we want to make" he said.
